A lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Bobby Green will take place at UFC 172, UFC president Dana White announced late Friday evening.
The Miller vs. Green tilt adds to the developing card, which is scheduled to take place on April 26 in Baltimore at the Baltimore Arena.
Miller (23-4, 1 NC) comes into the UFC’s first trip to Baltimore as the winner of his most recent contest. With an armbar submission, Miller bested Fabricio Camoes in the first round at UFC 168 last December.
Green (22-5) is 3-0 since coming to the UFC as an import from Strikeforce. Performances in wins over Jacob Volkmann, James Krause, and Pat Healy have drawn praise from Green’s superiors, prompting the UFC preside to tell other fighters to “Be Bobby Green.”
UFC 172 is scheduled to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and challenger Glover Teixeira.
