James Te Huna vs. Ricardo Romero Latest Addition to UFC 135 Fight Card

Ricardo Romero

The matchmaking for the UFC hasn’t slowed down yet. The latest match-up will see Australian James Te Huna take on Ricardo Romero at UFC 135 in Denver.

UFC officials confirmed the bout on Monday.

After a successful debut at UFC 110 with a TKO over Igor Pokrajac, James Te Huna fell short in his second bout, losing by rear naked choke to Alexander Gustafsson.

Now Te Huna will make the long trip from Australia to the U.S. to face AMA Fight Club fighter Ricardo Romero.

Romero experienced almost the same path as his UFC 135 counterpart. Romero started out his UFC career with a win over Seth Petruzelli, but then suffered a tough loss in his next outing, getting knocked out by former “Ultimate Fighter” competitor Kyle Kingsbury.

Romero and Te Huna will meet on the undercard for the upcoming UFC 135 fight card in Denver, which is headlined by UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defending his belt against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
