Eddie Bravo Invitational 2 Set for Oct. 10, Will Feature 135- and 155-Pound Divisions

Following the success of the inaugural Eddie Bravo Invitational, the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu creator has announced that the Eddie Bravo Invitational 2 will take place on Oct. 10 in Hollywood, Calif. Bravo confirmed plans for the event on his Instagram account on Friday. The tournament will again take place at the Florentine Gardens and not be streamed online.

Sherdog.com spoke with Bravo about the decision to not stream the card online. The choice comes down to quality.

“Professional live broadcasting takes practice and we are working out all the kinks,” Bravo said. “The goal is that the [Eddie Bravo Invitational 4] will be streamed live. We will be releasing EBI 1 online for free Sept.1 and will do the same with EBI 2, as it will be released for free in December.”

The first invitational focused on the 170- and 145-pound weight classes, but on Oct. 10 the attention will turn to 135- and 155-pound practitioners. Bravo also revealed three competitors slated to appear: Geo Martinez, who most recently defeated Metamoris 3 color commentator Jeff Glover at EBI 1; Nathan Orchard, who holds an undefeated record of 2-0 in mixed martial arts, and finally, Denny Prokopos, who was the very first jiu-jitsu black belt generated from Bravo’s 10th Planet system.
