Daniel Omielanczuk and Anthony Hamilton to meet in UFC Fight Night 64 heavyweight fight

Another Polish fighter has been added to the UFC Fight Night 64 fight card.

Polish heavyweight Daniel Omielanczuk (16-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Anthony Hamilton (13-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) will face each other in a heavyweight bout during UFC Fight Night 64, the UFC’s first trip to Poland. The promotion today announced the bout.

UFC Fight Night 64 takes place April 11 at Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland. The entire event streams on UFC Fight Pass.

Omielanczuk suffered a loss in his last bout, a dull performance against Jared Rosholt. Prior to the defeat, the 32-year-old scored a third-round knockout of Nandor Guelmino in his UFC debut. Omielanczuk was forced to pull out of a planned UFC Fight Night 55 bout with Soa Palelei in November after suffering a thumb injury.

Meanwhile, it will be the fourth trip to the octagon for Hamilton. The 34-year-old was knocked out in 33 seconds by Todd Duffee at UFC 181, a setback following his second-round stoppage of Ruan Potts by body shots. Prior to the Duffee loss, Hamilton was on a 7-1 run.
