Dana White: UFC No Longer Interested in Holly Holm

Mere days after her manager met with UFC executives about a UFC debut, it appears that Holly Holm will not be on her way to the world's largest mixed martial arts promotion after all.

That's according to UFC president Dana White, who told UFC Tonight that he was no longer interested in signing the former boxing world champion. According to Ariel Helwani, the meeting between Lenny Fresquez and UFC executives was "not good at all."

"Not interested whatsoever," White said.

White also told UFC Tonight that the promotion is not involved in ongoing negotiations with former Strikeforce stars Gina Carano and Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino, despite previous reports to the contrary.

Sources close to the promotion told Bleacher Report that White was "furious" Fresquez decided to discuss the ongoing negotiations in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. White told UFC Tonight that he didn't like the way Fresquez conducted business.

All may not be lost, however. Just a few weeks ago, White said he was no longer interested in dealing with Gilbert Melendez, only for "El Nino" to remain with the promotion when the UFC matched an offer from Bellator. The former Strikeforce lightweight champion will serve as a coach for the 20th season of The Ultimate Fighter, then face current UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis for the title later in the year.

Even if she does eventually sign with the UFC, Holm must get through her next fight on April 4 against Juliana Werner. That bout takes place on a Legacy Fighting Championship card in Holm's hometown of Albuquerque, N.M.
