Conor McGregor Ric Flair HOT SAUCE

Batten down the hatches. This can only get better.

Conor McGregor, the brash, crass, trash-talking bad guy of the UFC, isn’t satisfied dissing just Nate Diaz, his opponent at UFC 202 on Aug. 20.

No, like an RKO out of nowhere, McGregor has challenged the WWE roster and he has gotten personal with the kings of that jungle, past and present: Ric Flair and John Cena.

McGregor on Media day said this about Flair:

“Ric Flair’s a legend but as far as gimmicks, this is the real thing over here,” McGregor said. “I think these WWE guys, they’re not right in the head some of them. I mean the new guys are dweebs, let’s be honest, absolute dweebs but the old school guys are legends. Ric Flair is a legend. The McMahons of course — Dons. But I just say it as it is — they’re dweebs.”

McGregor’s comments come after he called the WWE roster “p*****s” and Flair responded by saying the Irishman stole his gimmick.

Fire.

McGregor has a history of body-shaming. He called Nate Diaz, who eventually tapped McGregor out by rear-naked choke, “skinny fat,” in the lead-up to their fight earlier this year.

But now, he’s taking on Flair, who took offense to McGregor’s original comments and accused the UFC champ of stealing his gimmick.

As Ric Flair would have said in the 1980s, “What’s causing all this?” Who knows? But if it pays off with PPV match at WrestleMania, we’ll all pay homage to The Man, as Flair eloquently states in the classic promo.

McGregor also curiously praised Vince McMahon, but blasted the new generation of wrestlers as “dweebs.” Seems like a big distraction heading into his fight with Diaz, or is part of something bigger we don’t know about. If the WWE can book Floyd Mayweather Jr. to fight The Big Show at WrestleMania 24, booking McGregor at WrestleMania 32 might not be totally out of the picture.
