A middleweight bout is in the works for the fall in the UFC with Chris Leben returning to action to face Mark Munoz.
Sources close to the negotiations confirmed the new bout to MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday.
According to the UFC’s UK Twitter account, the event has now been dubbed UFC 138 instead of a UFC Fight Night event as originally expected.
The fight is expected to take place on the UFC 138 event taking place in England on Nov 5. Additional details released by MMAFighting.com and independently confirmed by MMAWeekly.com reveal that the fight between Munoz and Leben will be the first ever main event non-title fight set for five rounds.
Both Leben and Munoz are coming off wins recently. Munoz picked up a unanimous decision victory over Demian Maia, while Leben knocked out former Pride legend Wanderlei Silva at UFC 132.
More fights are expected to be announced for the upcoming card in England in the coming days.
