Bellator 166 highlights: Watch champ Eduardo Dantas outclass Joe Warren

Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas defended his belt, avenged a loss and looked pretty damn good while doing it.

Dantas (19-4 MMA, 9-1 BMMA), who’s No. 6 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA bantamweight rankings, scored a majority-decision victory over Joe Warren (13-6 MMA, 12-5 BMMA) in Friday’s Bellator 166 headliner. During the five-rounder, he dictated the flow of the fight and appeared quite comfortable as he outclassed the title challenger.

Bellator 166 took place at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla. The main card aired on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie.

With the win, Dantas avenged a 2014 title loss to Warren. It remains the only defeat of his Bellator career.

Also on the Bellator 166 main card, unbeaten featherweight A.J. McKee (6-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) survived some early trouble to decision Ray Wood (7-3 MMA, 1-2 BMMA), former champ Marcos Galvao (18-7-1 MMA, 8-4 BMMA) edged L.C. Davis (23-8 MMA, 3-2 BMMA) in a 138-pound catchweight fight, and 195-pounder prospect Chris Honeycutt (9-1 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) scored a dominant unanimous-decision win over Ben Reiter (17-2-1 MMA, 3-2 BMMA).
