Artem Lobov vs. Teruto Ishihara added to UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Northern Ireland

The card for the UFC’s return to Northern Ireland in November continues to grow with the addition of a featherweight fight, as well as two other bouts.

Artem Lobov (12-12 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has been booked for a bout against Teruto Ishihara (9-2-2 MMA, 2-0-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 99, according to a report from the Irish Mirror newspaper.

In addition, the UFC recently added a welterweight fight between Zak Cummings (19-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Alexander Yakovlev (23-7-1 MMA, 2-3 UFC) to the card, as well as a lightweight fight between Kevin Lee (13-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) and Magomed Mustafaev (14-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC).

UFC Fight Night 99 takes place Nov. 19 at SSE Arena in Belfast, and the entire card streams on UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized. It’s the first of two cards on Nov. 19; UFC Fight Night 100 takes place later in the day in Brazil.

Lobov likely saved his UFC career at UFC 202 in August with a unanimous decision win over Chris Avila in Las Vegas. Lobov, a training partner of UFC featherweight champion and upcoming lightweight title challenger Conor McGregor, was a cast member on Season 22 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” But with decision losses to Ryan Hall and Alex White in his first two UFC bouts, his record had fallen below .500 for his career and his job was in jeopardy with a third straight loss. The win over Avila staved that off.

Ishihara was a featherweight finalist on “Road to UFC: Japan,” but in the final a year ago had to settle for a split draw with Mizuto Hirota. At UFC 196 in March, though, he picked up his first win in the promotion with a second-round knockout of Julian Erosa in Las Vegas. And in August, he followed that up with a bonus-winning first-round knockout of Horacio Gutierrez at UFC Fight Night 92.

Cummings made his way to the UFC after an appearance on Season 17 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” He won four of his first five fights, including a 43-second TKO of Dominique Steele at UFC on FOX 16 in July 2015 and a decision over Nicolas Dalby in April. But in August at UFC Fight Night 92, he dropped a decision to Santiago Ponzinibbio.

Yakovlev will be looking for a bounce-back win, as well. He dropped decisions to Demian Maia and Nico Musoke in his first two UFC fights, but rebounded with a decision win over Gray Maynard in a lightweight fight and a first-round knockout of George Sullivan in his return to welterweight at UFC on FOX 18 in January. But in July, at UFC on FOX 20, he dropped a decision to Kamaru Usman in Chicago.

The Las Vegas-based Lee has won back-to-back fights and six of his past seven. After a TKO loss to Leonardo Santos at UFC 194 this past December snapped a four-fight run, “The Motown Phenom” rebounded with a decision win over Efrain Escudero at UFC 197 and a first-round TKO of Jake Matthews at the TUF 23 Finale, both in Vegas.

Mustafaev is on a 13-fight winning streak, including TKO wins in his first two UFC fights. But when he steps in the octagon in Belfast, it will be 11 months since his most recent fight. Mustafaev signed with the UFC in 2015 and moved to lightweight from welterweight. At UFC Fight Night 69 in Berlin, he stopped Piotr Hallman with a second-round TKO. He followed that up by stopping Joe Proctor in less than two minutes at UFC 194 this past December.
