Expect a knockout in October when former WEC champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis meets hard hitting Jeremy Stephens at UFC 136 in Houston.
The new bout was announced by the UFC on Saturday.
After a successful run that saw him claim WEC gold in his final fight for the promotion, Anthony Pettis wasn’t able to duplicate that in his first fight in the UFC against Clay Guida. Losing by unanimous decision, Pettis also was taken out of a potential title fight, but the young Milwaukee based fighter won’t be deterred and hopes to get back in the race in October.
Hoping to stop his run before it can start is knockout artist Jeremy Stephens.
Stephens is always known for being an exciting fighter with true one punch knockout power, and he’ll try to show that one more time when he faces Pettis in October.
Pettis vs. Stephens is the latest addition to the UFC 136 fight card headlined by two title fights featuring Frankie Edgar against Gray Maynard,
