Many people, Alistair Overeem included, seem to think it is almost a foregone conclusion that he will defeat Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC 156 on Saturday night.
Overeem has been out of action for the past year due to drug test related sanctions in Nevada. But while he was away, he says he used his time wisely to keep improving, refining his game and working on some of the things that he hasn’t had time to when in the midst of training for fight after fight.
That’s not what he sees as his biggest advantage over Bigfoot, however.
His biggest advantage? He’s just the better fighter… at least he believes so.
“I’m a better fighter,” Overeem said at Thursday’s UFC 156 Media Day in Las Vegas. “I’m just better.”
