Mickey Gall’s callout of Phil “CM Punk” Brooks landed him in the UFC, one win away from a shot at the former WWE superstar.
Gall (2-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) fought Mike Jackson (0-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 82 with Brooks at ringside. He wasted little time in landing a right hand that dropped Jackson before taking the back and securing a rear-naked choke for the victory. The end came at the 0:45 mark of Round 1.
While Gall and Brooks met in the octagon following the bout, an injury to Brooks delayed the fight.
