Video: Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida among fighters in new feature film 'Tapped'

Fighters and movies – one of Dana White’s favorite topics, no doubt.

But the UFC boss at least seems to get behind his athletes appearing on the big screen when it doesn’t get in the way of their fighting careers.

The latest handful of UFC fighters to find their way to a movie include middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.

“Tapped” is scheduled for a release later this year, and a new trailer for the film is available. According to the Internet Movie Database, “Tapped” is about a teenager who finds MMA at a karate school, then enters a tournament to go after the man who killed his parents.

Silva and Machida play “Anderson” and “Lyoto” in the movie, UFC lightweight Sam Stout has a role as “Sam” and well-known official Yves Lavigne is cast as a referee. But it is Krzysztof Soszynski who landed the most prominent role for the fighters cast.

“Tapped,” written and directed by Allan Ungar as his first feature-length film, also stars Nick Bateman (“Hobo with a Shotgun”) and Michael Biehn, whose credits include “Tombstone,” “The Terminator” and “The Rock.”
