UFC Tops $600 Million in 2015 for Record-Setting Revenue

With the rise of Conor McGregor and the crash of Ronda Rousey, 2015 was a record year for the UFC.

In an interview with CNN Money, UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta revealed that his company would “generate about $600 million in revenue for the year.” That’s not all profit, of course, and he wouldn’t reveal how much of it would be profit for the company, but it’s safe to say that 2015 was a great year for the company.

“We’ll generate about $600 million in revenue for the year 2015, which is a record for the company, and it’s fairly significant growth coming off of 2014.” – Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC CEO

That company revenue is off the charts comes as no surprise. Three of the company’s pay-per-view events – UFC 189: Mendes vs. McGregor, UFC 193: Rousey vs. Holm, and UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor – are all hovering around the one-million-plus mark in pay-per-view buys, the promotion’s partnership with FOX is in full swing, as is the company’s new apparel deal with Reebok.

In addition to revenue, Fertitta also addressed fighter pay, which for years has consistently been one of the most heated topics swirling around the UFC and its growing success.

Not that he got into hard numbers, but Fertitta defended his company, saying that MMA is an “absolute open market” and that the UFC’s top athletes make “multi-millions of dollars.”
