UFC Fight Night 73's Uriah Hall talks about his self-doubt – and 'a--hole' Rafael Natal

NASHVILLE – Uriah Hall still hasn’t let go his loss to Rafael Natal.

After a split-decision loss to the UFC middleweight in May at UFC 187, the finalist on “The Ultimate Fighter 17” said he’d like another crack at his most recent opponent.

“Natal’s a douchebag,” Hall (10-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC) said Thursday ahead of his fight Saturday with newcomer Oluwale Bamgbose (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 73. “He’s an a–hole. You know what he did. He kicked me in the nuts in the fight to throw off my equilibrium. Must be a Brazilian thing – they like to cheat.

“I hope I get to punch him in his face next time, and it won’t be lightly.”

UFC Fight Night 73 takes place Saturday at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Hall vs. Bamgbose is part of the FOX Sports 2-televised prelims before main-card fights on FOX Sports 1.

Hall’s problem with Natal doesn’t just stem from their recent meeting; he said it’s the product of a run-in many years ago on the regional circuit.

In a wide-ranging interview, Hall also discusses his disdain for the media, admitting to his fear of the UFC’s octagon, and his surprising history with Bamgbose.
