UFC Champion Ronda Rousey Makes Maxim Magazine’s September Cover

Maxim released several pictures of a bikini-clad Rousey on its website ahead of the issue’s release, including the cover photo. Rousey previously graced the cover of ESPN The Magazine twice, first appearing in the 2012 “Body Issue” before being featured in the magazine’s 15th anniversary edition this past May.

Founded in the United Kingdom in 1995, Maxim is famous for featuring film, television and movie stars in revealing layouts. The magazine has previously showcased the likes of Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce Knowles and the UFC’s Arianny Celeste, Brittney Palmer and Kenda Perez.

In the cage, Rousey has never been defeated. The Olympic judo bronze medalist has finished all seven of her pro opponents via first-round armbar, capturing the Strikeforce bantamweight title from Miesha Tate last year. “Rowdy” was then christened the UFC queen upon joining the promotion and successfully defended her title against Liz Carmouche this past February at UFC 157. Rousey will return to the Octagon this December at UFC 168, when she puts her belt on the line against fellow “TUF 18” coach Tate in a rematch of their March 2012 conflict.
