Photo: Gabriel Gonzaga posts pic of broken hand after UFC on FOX 10 loss

Following his loss to fellow heavyweight Stipe Miocic in UFC on FOX 10's co-headliner, Gabriel Gonzaga posted two photos that both tell the same story.

Gonzaga (16-8 MMA, 11-7 UFC), a former UFC title challenger who resurrected his career with a recent 5-1 run, started fairly strong but ultimately stalled in later rounds, which resulted in a decision loss to fast-rising Miocic (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC). But as we later learned, there was a reason for the decline: Gonzaga broke his hand in the first round (watch the Miocic vs. Gonzaga video highlights).

After the fight, which aired on FOX from Chicago’s United Center, Gonzaga posted a pair of photos on Facebook, which can be found above.

The Brazilian’s caption succinctly summed it up: “Lost broke hand.”
