Fan Perspective: Max Holloway wrong to celebrate after Charles Oliveira's injury?

Was Max Holloway wrong when he celebrated his TKO victory – the result of an injury – in Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 74 headliner?

A clash between fast-rising featherweight contenders ended on a sour note when Charles Oliveira (20-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) could no longer continue in the FOX Sports 1-televised bout. Holloway (14-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) immediately jumped the cage at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and celebrated the victory with his family and friends.

Despite Holloway quickly returning to the cage and checking on Oliveira, who suffered an esophagus tear – and using his post-fight interview to ask for prayers for his injured opponent – the 23-year-old has received some criticism. But is it warranted?

That’s one of the topics “Showdown” Joe Ferraro addresses in this week’s edition of “Fan Perspective.”

Check out the above video as he gives his thoughts on that celebration and also discusses Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm and the future of the UFC in Calgary.
