Edwin Figueroa vs. Jason Reinhardt Added to UFC on Versus 5 Card in August

After a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance in his UFC debut, Edwin Figueroa will get back in action at UFC on Versus 5 in August against veteran Jason Reinhardt. The bout was announced by the UFC on Thursday.

Edwin Figueroa (7-1) made his first appearance in the UFC on just a week’s notice when he stepped up to face young gun Michael McDonald at UFC Fight Night 24 in Seattle.

Despite the short notice, Figueroa came to fight and ended up in a war with McDonald that earned them the ‘Fight of the Night’ bonuses.

Looking for more success than he’s had through two fights so far in the UFC, Jason Reinhardt (20-2) will attempt to bounce back and also try his hand at a new weight class.

The only two losses Reinhardt has on his record are his two fights in the UFC, one at lightweight against Joe Lauzon and one at featherweight against Tiequan Zhang. Reinhardt will see if the third time’s the charm with a fight at bantamweight.
