i hate when ppl say jones hasn't been hit hard. ryan bader cracked jones with some heavy hits in the the clinch in their fight. now granted bader is starting to look scrubish but we can't deny he doesn't have power i feel jones will be able to take a rampage hit to the face and push foward then what does rampage? have he's just hoping that when he hit jones, jones falls but if not rampage is honestly screwed.

I'm surprised so many people are feeling confident Jones will win. Yes, he is young, has great technics and a hell of a range. But now, imagine, just IMAGINE that Rampage finds a way to get a mount. What now ? Rampage has devastating power, really. He *is* stronger than Jones, he *has* much more experience of alot more situations. Jones chin has never been tested really, Jones has never endured heavy ground an pound really. I'd say one has range, technics and youth on his side when the other has power, fury and experience. Doesn't sound like an "obvious" ending to me at all. I don't care who wins, i want an entertaining fight, period.

I was puzzled when Rampage asked about who was standing with him lately... Machida was up with him and did very well. As I recall, Rampage said he felt he lost.
The biggest problem for Rampage will be Jones' reach and (if he works on them after watching Griffin-Rampage tape) leg kicks. I don't know if the best plan for Jones will be takedown-oriented. Who was the longest reach Rampage fought before this?

In post pride rampage, there hasn't been much difference in style. Not sure how he will deal with the thudding kicks jones has put on display at the expense of shogun's legs. If forrest can give him fits with kicks, why wouldn't jones? He did check kicks just fine in the later rounds in that fight though, I think hes just looking for counters and ignoring kicks for the most part. don't think he will want to do this against JJ.
being a page fan, I can't count him out. He has solid boxing technique, chin and power is enough to put anyone out up close. the problem is, JJ knows this too - about the only way page can win this fight. I wouldn't say impossible, but page has work cut out for him

I like rampage, but you are wrong atlanta, Jones is going to win no doubt. Jones wrestling wil give him an advantage, but also his standup is just as good as rampage, maybe even better. So no doubt Jones is going to win bij ko or sub.

what the hell is the point of having all the power if you can't land the hit? I just said why Rampage can't catch Jones with clean shot. Rampage only punches and knees while Jone kicks well and has way longer reach. Gosh you made me repeat the obvious again. Having strength alone won't do anything for Rampage.
i bet jon jones doesn't get out of the 1st round

taborjitsu is dumb. Jone doesn't even need to take Rampage down to win. Jones is too fast and his reach is too long for Rampage to have any success in boxing. We will not learn about Jones' chin in this fight 'cause Rampage's not gonna connect with solid shots. Shogun, who is supposed to be a lot quicker with good kicks, couldn't even land a successful strikes, even with kicks! Rampage knows it and that's why Rampage wants Jones to put his face right in front of him so he can land something.
really? Jon Jones is some unbeatable force?i know he isn't and so does Rampage.

too many people are counting page out. too many. maybe b/c they're nutthuggers of jones or really just have no clue about matchups in mma-page has fought BETTER wrestlers in mma: hendo, an olympic silver medalist, lindland, randleman etc...these guys did get page down but struggled and couldnt keep him down.rashad managed to get get takedowns but ONLY b/c page was in lousey shape, filming movies and not training full time. jone's chin will be tested in this fight. we will learn A LOT about him..
