Gorge st. Pierre walks around at 190lbs-195lbs off season with a ridiculous longest reach for being a welter weight. So clearly it's not a weight issue making weight at 185lbs. Pierre has a hard time finishing fights with smaller fighters at 170lbs, so it's surely that he can't finish fights at 185lbs and would have a more difficult time against bigger fighters. He should just stick to fighting 170lbs. At least BJ Penn had the balls to step up from 155lbs to 170lbs fighting bigger fighters. Some fighters are born to fight anyone without fear win or lose, and some fighters just train to fight. Gsp have longer reach than alot of middle weight. Gsp proved already he's top dawg at 170lbs, he should take his fighting to the next level at 185lbs and see how he stack up if he wants to be considered pound for pound.

A.Silva is bigger than most 205,and he mosdef have a longer reach than...at least 80% of the 205 pounders!!!

GSP is an over rated fighter that can't finish fights anymore by knock out or submission. Nick Diaz is more of a real fighter than GSP. He actually fights during a fight and is not afraid to fight. Unlike GSP, one of the most boring fighter in the league that only try's to fight by scoring points and not real engaging in a real fight. This type of style of fighting is ruining the real true martial art. Any other weight division champ in UFC try's to finish fights execpt for GSP. In a real street fight, points mean nothing. Finishing fights is everything. GSP should start really fighting if he wants more respect as a fighter. GSP not pound for pound. Anderson Silva is pound for pound. Spider is a true champ.

OMG you guys aren't serious...Diaz comes from Strikeforce...was the champion of the minor league. Of course Cesar Gracie told Diaz was the men cause he's one of his guys and wants them to fight in a prime event but GSP is the real deal...he cleaned the welter division, ufc is now bringing champions from outside to find someone who has a chance of maybe hurt him.
For the finishing fight point of view, he did fought the best guys in the world and totally dominated them! A number one is still a number one even if he can't knock the number 2 because the number 2 is still a beast!
And please stop talking of Silva, the guy fought at 205, its like asking for a Silva/Velasquez fight.

And btw,Silva walk around between 220-230.And the biggest GSP has ever been is 193!But now he never weight more than 185.
I've never seen A.Silva in person,but I've seen Forrest Griffin and the guy is HUGE,lol.
And when they fought each others,they were the same size,almost...Silva is a natural 205 who's cutting a lot of weight to fight at MW!Its the honest truth!
