Yes Damian Maia submitted Sonnen with ease in the first round and Maia is the same man who couldn't get close to beat or even have a chance a gainst Silva, yet Sonnen turned out to be a very tough opponent for Silva. And that's wnat newbies don't understand : Since the early ufc's where you wouldbe able to see a kickboxer against a wrestler it was STYLE VS STYLE, and now after the sport has evovled, and fighters have to be good at all aspects, IT IS STILL ABOUT STYLE VS STYLE, always has been, and always will be. STYLE VS STYLE. Sonnen is the ony kind of style that could possible beat Silva's style. And Silva's style is very difficult for all the other top fighters to deal with. And that's why every champion loses at some point in time.
