Interviews - http://TheMMAdigest.com As there has been a big anti-wrestling faction cropping up in the MMA community, GSP answers the criticism he and others have faced about winning in a fashion that might be considered boring.

Efficiency vs Style.
Wrestling may look boring for watchers but it's damn efficient (just ask GSP's opponents).
Also, look at Roy Nelson. The guy has no charisma, his fights aren't impressive but he wins most of the time. UFC must be careful not to turn into a the WWF of MMA. I don't care charismatic fighters or impressive moves; I want fighters that have the technics and mental to win. This is fighting, not a movie or a freak show.

Well, people have to keep in mind that the core purpose of MMA is to see who's the best, whatever your technics / tactics is. Some aspects of wrestling (or even BJJ) can seem boring to ignorants because it's not always spectacular - but it works! Now, spectacular moves are also rarely efficient in a real fight, so if you want that, just watch a movie. Watch Gracie's fights at early UFC. It was boring, no one really understood, it was low paced and tactical fights. But it was efficient and leading to victory. Those complaining, just find a (spectacular) way to counter wresting / bjj instead of criticing it.
