The fighters exchanged early strikes before Treanor got it to the mat with a leg trip takedown. Once on the ground Treanor was able to control position, work GNP and threaten with submissions until the bell ended the round. Round two had Treanor landing a spinning heel kick followed by a roundhouse kick to the head before getting a takedown. Once Treanor escaped head control it was the same as round one with Treanor controlling position and landing strikes to set up submission attempts. Round three had Treanor missing with a spinning hook kick but following it with a spinning backfist that dropped Munoz. On the mat Treanor took top position, landed strikes then set in the fight ending head and arm triangle choke. The submission victory came for Treanor at 1:04 of round three.
