During my 6 months stay in Phuket, Thailand, I caught a nasty staph infection on my foot. Even though I disinfected even the tiniest little cut or bruise on my skin directly after training I still got it. These multi-resistent bacteria must not be underestimated. They like warm weather as much as we do. Add some humidity and these motherfuckers will always be found where people and sweat meet. As the doctors realized that antibiotics alone won’t work they decided to drain it. I was lucky enough that Thailand got a good medical system. One more day on a deserted island and I would be hopping on just one leg… or not at all. I lost 6 weeks of valuable training time. What looks kinda funny in this video was the most painful thing I’ve experienced in my life so far. 3 days after the doctor has drained it, you can see him using sharp tweezers to clean the wound by scraping out pus and dead tissue from the whole in my foot. I’m making these Jim Carrey faces to avoid screaming like a school
