A welterweight bout between Zak Cummings (16-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Sergio Moraes (8-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is now official for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale next month.
UFC officials recently finalized the bout.
The TUF 18 Finale takes place Nov. 30 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The bulk of the card airs on FOX Sports 1 following Facebook prelims.
It’s not clear where Cummings vs. Moraes will be placed on the card.
Cummings, a longtime wrestler who previously competed for organizations such as Strikeforce and MFC, recently made his long-awaited UFC debut and picked up a submission victory over Ben Alloway at UFC Fight Night 27. The victory, which came after a quick stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 17,” earned the 29-year-old Missourian a “Submission of the Night” bonus and moved him to 6-1 (with six stoppages) in his past seven fights.
He now takes on Moraes, a national champion grappler who looks for his third straight UFC victory following a UFC-debut loss to Cezar Ferreira in the tournament final of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.” The 31-year-old Brazilian has since posted back-to-back submission victories over Renee Forte and Neil Magney. The latter earned him a “Submission of the Night” bonus at UFC 163.
