Nick Diaz has been mired in a self-imposed pseudo-retirement, but at UFC 171 on Saturday, he told MMAWeekly.com video partner MMA Heat that he’s ready to fight this year, and he’d like to fight the UFC 171 main event winner, which turned out to be Johny Hendricks.
“I’m ready to go. I’m ready to fight,” he said, although he’s not looking at just fight any fight, he wants big fights with significance to them.
Diaz may be having this conversation with those of us in the media, but he has yet to talk about his next fight with UFC president Dana White. So, as of now, it remains to be seen if and when Diaz may resurface in the Octagon.
