UFC officials Wednesday announced the matchup, which takes place at San Antonio’s AT&T Center and precedes a titular featherweight headliner between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens.
Gastelum, 22, has been perfect as a pro through eight outings, scoring a split decision victory over the favored Uriah Hall to win “TUF 17” one year ago. Following his auspicious Octagon debut, Gastelum followed the performance with two more victories, stopping Brian Melancon last August before outpointing Rick Story last month at UFC 171.
Musoke, 28, has won seven of his last eight, with a 2012 no contest serving as his only blemish in that span. The Swede submitted veteran Alessio Sakara in his UFC debut this past October and then posted a unanimous decision victory in his sophomore effort, besting Viscardi Andrade this past February at UFC Fight Night 36.
