WSOF 4 adds Moraes-Hempleman, Newell-Caldwell, Harris-Santiago

August’s World Series of Fighting 4 event has a pair of new matchups as Marlon Moraes (10-4-1) faces Brandon Hempleman (9-1) and Gerald Harris (21-5) takes on Jorge Santiago (25-11).

Additionally, Nick Newell‘s (9-0) opponent has been determined, as he makes his WSOF debut against Keon Caldwell (9-1).

World Series of Fighting officials today announced the new contests for WSOF 4, which takes place Aug. 10 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday and range from $29 to $199.

The Moraes vs. Hempleman matchups are expected to feature on the evening’s NBC Sports Network-broadcast main card. Meanwhile, the Harris vs. Santiago contest will serve as a featured preliminary bout.

Bantamweight Moraes brings a four-fight win streak to the event, a run that includes an impressive knockout win over Tyson Nam at WSOF 2 event. He meets “Hot Rod” Hempleman, a once-beaten Idaho resident who boasts a six-fight win streak.

Middleweight Harris fights under the WSOF banner for the second time. He competed on the promotion’s debut event but dropped a unanimous decision to Josh Burkman. He meets Santiago, who fought most recently for the UFC this past February, where he lost a decision to Gunnar Nelson.

Newell, who recently left the Xtreme Fighting Championships promotion after winning their lightweight title, was previously announced for the event but did not have an opponent. He’ll face “The Black Assassin” Caldwell, a former cast member on “The Ultimate Fighter 13.”

Previously announced fights include Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante vs. Tyson Griffin and Dave Huckaba vs. Ray Sefo.

The WSOF 4 main-card broadcast will feature five fights, but a company official said the lineup was not necessarily set in stone at this point. However, the current lineup includes:
