Round 1:
Uncharacteristically, Cerrone comes out firing, landing a mix of strikes, Horodecki firing back with punches. Cerrone lands an accidental low blow when going for an inside leg kick, something he had a problem with against Ed Ratcliff. They start right where they left off, trading blows. Cerrone scores a takedown and moves immediately to mount, but Horodecki escapes back to the feet, where they start trading punches, Horodecki landing a hard right up the middle. Cerrone Thai clinches briefly and knees Horodecki in the ribs. Horodecki separates and shoots, eating a knee on the way in. Cerrone slows the pace, almost lulling Horodecki into his countering range. Cerrone lands another knee to the body as Horodecki shoots. They separate and trade a few blows before Horodecki scores a takedown, landing in Cerrone’s guard. Cerrone, however, does a good job punching up from his back. They get up and Horodecki moves in, but Cerrone tosses him to the ground and takes his back to end the round.

Round 2:
Horodecki takes Cerrone down early, but gets caught in an omo plata. Cerrone adds a neck crank, lets loose, but then sinks a triangle choke. Horodecki remans calm, trying to fight it off, but Cerrone keeps the triangle on, continuously adjusting, cinching the choke on tighter until Horodecki finally taps out.

Couple those six victories with the 16 others he won in his undefeated (22-0, 6-0 UFC) professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career, and the Russian-born fighter has made a pretty good case for a title s more
