ONE: Quest for Power is set for the Jakarta Convention Centre on Jan. 14 and will be the promotion’s 50th event. Headlining the card is a middleweight title bout, which sees undefeated champion Vitaly Bigdash make the long awaited first defense of his belt against Marcin Prachnio.
It will be the seventh time ONE Championship has been to Jakarta and sees the middleweight champion return after a 15-month absence. Bigdash (8-0) has not fought since winning the belt after a barnstorming title match with Igor Svirid in October of 2015.
During that period, Prachnio (12-2) has sprung to prominence with three wins out of three for ONE Championship in 2016. The Polish middleweight has stopped Alexandre Machado and Jake Butler and claimed a split-decision win over former title challenger Leandro Ataides.
In the co-main event featherweight Martin Nguyen (7-1) faces a serious examination of his title credentials against Japanese veteran Kazunori Yokota (25-6-3). Both men have seen long winning streaks snapped by reigning champion Marat Gafurov and will be hoping for another shot at the Russian.

Two undefeated Indonesian prospects who tasted victory at ONE Championship’s preliminary tournament in Jakarta last year will also get their chance on the big stage. Flyweight Stefer Rahardian (3-0) faces Jerome Paye (2-2), while strawweight Adrian Matheis (2-0) takes on Rene Catalan (1-2).
The card also features a featherweight fight between Anthony Engelen (5-2) and A.J. Lias Mansor (2-3), a lightweight match pitting Vincent Latoel (16-18-2) against Vaughn Donayre (8-6), and a bantamweight bout featuring Chan Heng (8-3) and Su Noto (5-3).
