Holly Holm makes her highly anticipated UFC debut next week, and it comes with co-main event status.
Holm (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) takes on Raquel Pennington (5-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in the co-feature of UFC 184, which takes place next Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The main card airs on pay-per-view after prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Holm most recently fought this past April, scoring a fifth-round stoppage of Juliana Werner in a Legacy FC 30 contest. Holm suffered a broken arm in the matchup and was forced to delay her UFC debut, but with her boxing background, she had already earned the attention of many UFC bantamweights, including champion Ronda Rousey.
Before Holm fights at UFC 184 – as the co-main event to Rousey’s title defense against Cat Zingano – check out her fight against Angela Hayes in December 2013 in front of her home crowd in Albuquerque, N.M. It was the only time in Holm’s career she’s gone the distance.
