Video: Watch UFC 162 headliner Anderson Silva win the title from Rich Franklin

Next month Anderson Silva looks for his record 11th consecutive UFC title defense. However, you can see how the MMA great first won the middleweight belt.

The UFC has released the video of Silva’s first encounter with then-champ Rich Franklin, which headlined UFC 64 in 2006.

Although Silva’s UFC-debut destruction of Chris Leben garnered some attention a fight prior, the bout with Franklin is when the Brazilian really put the middleweight division on notice.

Check out the full fight above. And catch Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) back in action against Chris Weidman (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) on July 6 in UFC 162's pay-per-view headliner.
