GLASGOW, Scotland – Wednesday was a busy day for the UFC, as UFC Fight Night 71 took place in the U.S., while Scotland played host to a full lineup of pre-fight activities for UFC Fight Night 72.
Glasgow’s historic Old Fruitmarket was the site of Wednesday’s Ultimate Media Day and open workout sessions, where fighters from UFC Fight Night 72 spoke with the media before putting on a training session for fans.
The conclusion of the day saw the evening’s featured combatants brought together for a traditional face-off. British striker Michael Bisping (26-7 MMA, 16-7 UFC) goofed about for a bit before gazing intently toward his opponent. However, Brazilian submission ace and fellow middleweight contender Thales Leites (25-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) refused to match the ferocity, choosing instead to smile and laugh it off.
