Video: Paul Daley returns to kickboxing – with a violent result

With his MMA career on hold, big-show veteran Paul Daley has returned to kickboxing this year. On Saturday, he had his third fight of 2014 – which included a violent outcome.

Daley headed to Milan for a K-1 rules fight with Russian 170-pounder Alexander Surzhko at “Legend 3: Pour Homme.” There, Italian fight fans were treated to a solid third-round TKO performance.

There’s no word when Daley, now 3-0 in 2014 kickboxing bouts, may make his return to MMA. The 31-year-old English fighter – who’s competed for the UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator MMA and nearly every other organization of note – most recently fought in December, when he knocked out Romario Manoel da Silva at BAMMA 14. He’s won five of his past six fights, and he’s 34-14-2 with 25 knockouts.
