Video: 'On the Brink: Alexander Gustafsson' (UFC 165 behind the scenes)

Rarely has a fighter lost a title fight and gained so much, but when it comes to Alexander Gustafsson and his UFC 165 loss to champion Jon Jones, the light heavyweight significantly raised his stock.

Host Jon Anik and FOX Sports 1's “Ultimate Insider” take us behind the scenes of the Sept. 21 title fight with “On the Brink: Alexander Gustafsson.”

The remarkable feature shows the up-close and intimate aspects of Gustafsson’s fight, including the MMA world’s pre-fight doubts and the final rounds of an extremely close pay-per-view clash. It also shows the emotional aftermath with Gustafsson, his team and UFC President Dana White.

Despite the acclaimed bout, a rematch isn’t on the docket. Instead of Jones (19-1 MMA, 13-1 UFC) vs. Gustafsson (15-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) II, the UFC opted to book the champ against Glover Teixeira (22-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) at UFC 169 in February.
