Video: Myles Jury treating UFC 171 bout with Sanchez as 'just another fight'

Myles Jury says his fight against Diego Sanchez is “just another fight.”

On one hand, that’s a common fighter adage meant to indicate his opponent is just another man in the way of him getting his hand raise. And on the other, the “just another fight” for Jury (13-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) happens to be Diego Sanchez (24-6 MMA, 13-6 UFC), an original “TUF” winner, a former UFC title challenger and the winner of seven “Fight of the Night” award and a trio of “Fight of the Year” honors.

But that’s no reason to count Jury out. In fact, the unbeaten 25-year-old, who trains at Alliance MMA in San Diego, is the favorite against Sanchez.

“I feel like I’ve been around for a while, and I feel like I’ve been fighting some good guys for a while,” Jury told MMAjunkie. “It’s just that now, I’m finally getting a guy with a name. I’ve been fighting tough guys, but with no names, though. I’m excited for the opportunity, but it’s just another fight to me, man.

“If anything, this is the least pressure I’ve ever had in a fight – all the pressure’s on Diego. That’s the way I’m feeling.”

Jury and Sanchez meet in the middle of the main card of Saturday’s UFC 171 pay-per-view, which takes place at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
