Video: Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez I at Bellator 58

With their rematch officially set, now is as good a time as any to watch the epic first meeting between Bellator lightweights Michael Chandler and Eddie Alvarez.

The bout, which earned fight of the year accolades, took place in November 2011 at Bellator 58. It was a back-and-forth title fight that resulted in a new champion and a key moment in Bellator history.

Additionally, as MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) first reported earlier today, Alvarez (24-3 MMA, 9-1 BMMA) has ended his contract dispute with Bellator MMA and now will rematch Chandler (12-0 MMA, 9-0 BMMA) in the pay-per-view co-headliner of Bellator 106 on Nov. 2.
