DALLAS – MMAjunkie lead staff reporter John Morgan gives his instant reaction to Saturday’s UFC 171 main event between welterweights Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.
In the headliner, Hendricks (16-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) won the vacant UFC 170-pound title with a unanimous decision over Lawler (22-10 MMA, 7-4 UFC). Hendricks won the first two rounds; Lawler took the third and fourth. The fight came down to the fifth.
UFC 171 took place American Airlines Center in Dallas. The event aired on pay-per-view and FOX Sports 2 and streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
