Video: If fighters were in charge of the UFC, what'd be the first thing they'd do?

DUBLIN – There’s been a lot of talk about what would happen if there was a fighters union in MMA.

But taking it a step further, what would happen … if fighters were in charge of the UFC? What would be the first thing they’d want to get done? We asked, they told. Well, most of them, anyway.

Ben Rothwell had a very good idea of what he’d want to happen. After losing out on his co-main event spot at UFC Fight Night 76 in Dublin against Stipe Miocic, then seeing Miocic get a replacement fight against Andrei Arlovski that Rothwell had been asking for, Rothwell knew just what he’d be asking for.

Garreth McLellan, Bubba Bush, Scott Askham, Jon Delos Reyes, Darren Till, Max Holloway, Robert Whiteford, Arlovski, Neil Seery and Rory MacDonald had pretty good ideas, too, from more money for the fighters to the increased drug testing that has been lauded.

Darren Elkins, though? He needed a minute to come up with just what he’d do first if fighters were calling all the shots.
