Video: Conor McGregor has unsavory plan for Chad Mendes' forehead

As Chad Mendes attempted to explain how Conor McGregor has talked – and not necessarily fought – his way into title contention, the Irishman quickly retorted, doing little to disprove Mendes’ point.

During a recent “Beyond the Octagon” interview on BT Sport, Mendes (16-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) conducted a Skype interview to promote his UFC 179 pay-per-view headliner with UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo (24-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.

However, McGregor (16-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who was in studio for the show, quickly became a focus of the conversation. The fast-rising featherweight will be cageside in Brazil for this weekend’s fight, and he could be up next for the winner.

When Mendes, who questioned his ability to beat him, asked McGregor if he “even knows what wrestling is,” McGregor quickly retorted, “I can wrestle my balls on your forehead.”

McGregor then suggested it wouldn’t matter since he doesn’t see Mendes beating Aldo anyway. And when Mendes said his potential opponent can sit in the third row and watch, McGregor played up his cozy relationship with UFC officials.

“I’m sitting in the front row,” he said. “I’m not even in the fighters’ hotel. I’m in the Fertitta hotel, in the suite, on the Copacabana. So you enjoy your time in the fighter hotel. I’m front row, baby!”
