Video: Conor McGregor absolute fan insanity for UFC 189 weigh-ins

LAS VEGAS – There’s plenty of debate about who’s the biggest star in the UFC. We know one thing, though, at least, as of today.

Conor McGregor travels well, and he brings a crowd – even to weigh-ins.

The line outside of MGM Grand Hotel & Casino stretched thousands deep in the 100-degree heat on Friday – all waiting to get into MGM Grand Garden Arena for the UFC 189 weigh-ins, which were set up to accommodate 10,000 fans.

And that was just the line outside. There were thousands waiting inside the casino, as well, for a spot in the arena.

UFC 189 takes place Saturday at MGM Grand Garden Arena and is expected to be one of the biggest UFC pay-per-views in history. In the main event, McGregor (17-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) meets Chad Mendes (17-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) for the interim featherweight title. Mendes took the fight on short notice when McGregor nemesis and 145-pound champion Jose Aldo pulled out this past week.
