Anthony Johnson is one win (and a new contract) away from a WSOF title fight. Watch the veteran fighter’s flashy debut in the promotion, which provided a surprising ending.
The fight, which came against fellow light heavyweight D.J. Linderman, co-headlined WSOF 1 in November 2012.
In the first round of the bout, Johnson complained of an eye-poke, but referee Herb Dean didn’t see it and told him to continue the fight, and Linderman was happy to oblige. Despite a bothersome eye, Johnson took matters into his own hands and quickly put an end to the bout.
Watch the remarkable finish above.
And catch Johnson (15-4) in action against Mike Kyle (20-10-1) on Jan. 18 at WSOF 8. The 205-pounders co-headline the NBC Sports Network-televised card.
