It’s been almost three full years since Georges St-Pierre stepped into the octagon, so he’s no longer eligible for the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA welterweight rankings. But if he does come back, where would you put him in the welterweight rankings?

The last edition of the rankings that featured St-Pierre (25-2 MMA, 19-2 UFC) was Nov. 17, 2015, just after he passed the 24-month limit for eligibility. At the time, he stood at No. 8 in the division, based on a slow slide down the scale for inactivity. One year later, where would you put the former UFC welterweight champion?

St-Pierre recently declared himself a free agent, though UFC officials see his current situation a little differently. It appears a legal battle lies on the horizon. But if the hurdles can be cleared, and “Rush” steps back into the cage. where should he sit in the rankings?
