The UFC has signed European heavyweights Daniel Omielanczuk and Nikita Krylov to multi-fight deals.
A UFC official confirmed the signings with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). Polish site mmarocks.pl and BloodyElbow.com first reported the signings.
Terms of the deals and potential debut dates were not disclosed.
Omielanczuk (15-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a 30-year-old Polish fighter, enters the organization with an 11-fight win streak that includes eight submission victories.
Most of Omielanczuk’s fights have come with smaller European shows, where he’s faced mostly overmatched and largely inexperienced fighters. He’ll get a big step up in competition with his move to the UFC.
Krylov (14-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), meanwhile, is a 20-year-old Ukrainian fighter. He’s racked up a staggering and unblemished 14-0 record with 14 stoppages (five knockouts and nine submissions) in less than nine months.
All of Krylov’s wins have come in the first round, including his M-1 Challenge 38 knockout of Gabriel Tampu this past month.
