UFC plans 'International Fight Week' around UFC 175 in Las Vegas

Once again this summer, the UFC will center an “International Fight Week” around its Independence Day weekend pay-per-view event in Las Vegas.

UFC 175 takes place July 5 in Las Vegas. And with it, the promotion also will hold another UFC Fan Expo.

Although venues haven’t been announced, in past years the Fan Expo has taken place at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, while the fight card has taken place at MGM Grand Garden Arena just down the street.

A headliner for UFC 175 has not yet been announced.

“International Fight Week” will take place July 1-6, and a promotional video from the UFC promises “more UFC events” and “more UFC stars.”

The events leading up to UFC 175 will feature four days of buildup. Events are yet to be announced, but in years past the promotion has featured a UFC “Community Day;” pool parties with fighters and octagon girls; and free concerts, not to mention the UFC Fan Expo, which will take place Friday and Saturday, July 4-5.
