At UFC on Versus 5, Joseph Benavidez put on an exceptional performance against Eddie Wineland. The Team Alpha Male fighter kept the fight on the feet and out-pointed Wineland for the duration of the bout.
Although Wineland and his camp were expecting Benavidez to apply more takedowns, the fighter out of Sacramento, Calif., opened up his hands and it ended up paying off against a known striker.
MMAWeekly.com caught up with Benavidez after the win and he talked about the stand-up, being faster, wanting to finish the former WEC bantamweight champion, and a possible drop in weight class.
