Round 1: Sass takes the center of the cage.  He moves in with a big right hand.  Castillo ties him up.  Sass works for a triangle and Castillo slams his way out of it.  Sass looks to isolate a leg.  Castillo gets free.  He works in Sass’ guard.  Sass works for an arm and Castillo gets it free and lands a right hand.  Castillo moves to half guard.  Sass gets back to full guard.  Sass works for a leg but Castillo gets free.  Castillo lands a couple of short right hands.  Sass lands elbows from the bottom.  Castillo delivers a big right hand.  Sass works for a leg but Castillo has none of it.  Sass isolates a leg.  Castillo rolls out and lands hammer fists. Castillo lands a hard elbow.  Sass looks for a leg as the bell sounds.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Castillo.

Round 2: Sass rushes in with punches but Castillo backs away.  Castillo secures a takedown.  He lands a big elbow inside Sass’ guard.  Castillo delivers elbows.  Castillo postures up and lands elbows.  Sass goes for an arm bar.  Castillo elevates him and slams his way out.  The referee stands them up.  Sass steps in with a jab.  He rushes in with a shot to the body and Castillo takes him down.  Two minutes remain in the round.  Castillo lands short punches.  Castillo controlling Sass on the ground.  Castillo stands and lands a couple of hard right hands.  Castillo drops back down and delivers a series of hammer fists.  The round ends.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Castillo.

Round 3: They touch gloves to start the final round.  Castillo inches forward.  Sass delivers a spinning back kick to the body.  Castillo misses with a right hand.  Sass moves forward with a combination and Castillo drops under and secures a double leg takedown.  Castillo postures and lands a right hand.  Castillo landing short punches to the body.  Sass works for a triangle but Castillo defends and passes Sass’ guard.  He moves to north-south position.  He moves to side control with a minute remaining in the round.  He lands elbows to the body of Sass.  Sass gets to his feet at the bell.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Castillo.

The judges score the fight for Castillo by unanimous decision.  The scorecards read 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28.
