Round 1: Mills moves in with a jab and Riddle works to get the fight to the ground.  He presses Mills against the cage, working for a single leg takedown.  Mills shakes it off.  Riddle continues to press him against the fence.  he works for a single leg takedown and gets it.  Mills quickly gets back to his feet, but can’t keep Riddle off him.  They separate.  Mills lands a jab.  Riddle drops down and secures a takedown as Mills moved forward.  Mills immediately gets back to his feet.  They separate.  Mills delivers an inside leg kick followed by an outside leg kick.  Riddle lands a right hand and Mills answers with a left counter.  Riddle works for a takedown.  Riddle gets the takedown.  He lands short lefts to the body of Mills.  Riddle work ins half guard.  He lands a few short elbows in the closing seconds of the round.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Riddle.

Round 2: Riddle lands a straight left.  They exchange leg kicks.  Riddle works for the takedown and Mills lands a kick to the head.  Riddle secures the takedown.  Riddle applies a north-south choke.  He gives up on it and works from side control.  He land knees to the body of Mills.  Riddle peppers Mills with right hands.  Riddle lands three knees to the body before switching to right hands to the face of Mills.  Two minutes remain in the round.  Riddle continues to land short right hands.  Mills works his way back to half guard.  Riddle advances to the mount position.  Mills briefly gives up his back before rolling back over.  Riddle takes his back.  Riddle lands a series of left hands to the body.  The round ends.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Riddle.

Round 3: Mills lands an outside leg kick.  Mills moves in and lands a right hand.  They exchange.  Mills lands a left hand.  Mills moves in with a right hand and Riddle ducks under and works for a single leg takedown.  Mills stuffs it and lands a knee.  Riddle presses him against the cage.  he drops down looking for a double leg takedown.  Mills sprawls and defends the takedown attempt.  Riddle continues to pursue the double leg and gets it.  He works inside Mills’ full guard.  Riddle delivers a hard elbow.  Riddle moves to half guard.  Mills reverses Riddle.  He stands and lands a right hand.  Mills lets Riddle back to his feet.  Mills lands a leg kick and Riddle works for a takedown.  They work for position along the cage as the round ends.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Riddle.

The judges score the fight for Riddle by split decision.  The scorecards read 29-28, 28-29, and 30-27.
