UFC on FX 7 Draws Record TV Ratings for Main Card on FX and Prelims on Fuel

The recent UFC on FX 7: Belfort vs. Bisping event not only sold out the arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it also drew record TV ratings for a UFC on FX event both on the main network and for the preliminary bouts on Fuel TV.

UFC on FX 7 and Iron Man 2 also combined to make FX the most-watched network in all of television (broadcast and cable) on Saturday night in Adults 18-49 and all male demos.

The four-bout UFC on FX 7 main card, which aired live on the FX network, drew 1.9 million viewers, according to MMAWeekly.com industry sources. The six preliminary bouts that aired Fuel TV attracted 255,000 viewers.

Those numbers are the best the UFC has ever drawn on FX and Fuel TV.

The second best draw was UFC on FX 2, which scored 1.4 million viewers. The past couple UFC events on FX hovered more around the one million mark.

Fuel TV’s next best effort was the preliminary bout telecast for UFC on FX 4, which drew 160,000 viewers. The two most recent FX prelim events on Fuel TV fell below 100,000 viewers.

The UFC on FX 7 main card featured a headlining bout between popular Brazilian Vitor Belfort and brash Brit Michael Bisping, as well as Daniel Sarafian vs. CB Dollaway, Gabe Gonzaga vs. Ben Rothwell, and Thiago Tavares vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Godofredo Pepey vs. Milton Vieira lead the preliminary bouts on Fuel TV.
